TG4 confirms Creeslough documentary will air tonight

TG4 has confirmed the documentary Iniúchadh TG4 – An Craoslach will air on TG4 tonight.

The documentary on the devastating Creeslough explosion, which killed 10 people in October 2022, is due to air on TG4 tonight (Wednesday).

A number of the families objected to the documentary and said it was too soon for it to be broadcast as they did not have enough time to grieve their loss.

The families called for the documentary to be postponed until a full investigation into the blast is carried out.

Despite coming under mounting pressure, TG4 has now confirmed the documentary will air tonight at 9.30pm.

A statement released by TG4 said, “Having carefully considered all of the important and sensitive issues raised with us, we have decided that the documentary Iniúchadh TG4 – An Craoslach will air on TG4 tonight.

“The documentary is about the ordinary people who assisted in the rescue at the scene before emergency services arrived.

“It contains interviews with some of those who risked their own lives to bring others to safety.

“The programme does not report anything about the victims other than what has already been reported publicly in the direct aftermath of the tragedy.”
