Tesco Letterkenny to host autism awareness evening

TESCO Letterkenny is hosting an autism friendly quiet evening in store this evening between 7-9 pm.

During this time the store will become an autism friendly space. All lightening in the store will be dimmed, there will be no music or tannoy announcements and all in store televisions will also be turned off. Tesco colleagues will be available to offer any additional assistance.

Martin McCloskey, Store Manager of Tesco Letterkenny, explained, “We have been working closely with the Letterkenny Autism Family Support Group to understand how best we can help support customers with autism and their families to make their shopping experience a little bit easier. We are delighted to be able to trial this autism evening and we hope to increase our knowledge of how best we can support all of our shoppers going forward.”
