Termon . . . 1-16
St Eunan’s . . . 0-18
(After extra-time)
Termon produced a famous victory to shock St. Eunan’s and send the reigning champions crashing out of the Donegal Senior Championship on Saturday evening.
Caolan McDaid’s side won by the narrowest of margins in a game that went all the way to extra-time.
A fisted point from substitute Enda McCormick close to the end of extra-time proved vital as Termon held on for a dramatic win.
They had led by seven points at half-time, 1-9 to 0-5 – their goal scored by Ricky Gallagher.
However, they had to rely on an Aaron Reid equalising point to send the game to extra-time with the sides level at 1-12 to 0-15.
St Eunan’s were guilty of a number of poor wides in extra-time and in the end, much to the delight of the big Termon support, the men from the Burn Road hung on for a memorable win.
