Termon 2-15 Aodh Ruadh 1-11
Termon returned to Division 1 after defeating Aodh Ruadh convincingly in the promotion/relegation play-off in Glenties on Sunday.
Termon were only behind once in the game shortly after David Dolan’s goal for the Ballyshannon side, but Daire McDaid’s penalty put them back ahead and they led 1-8 to 1-5 at the break.
And they were full value for their lead, with a second goal coming through James McSharry to secure a return to the top division.
Going into the game, Termon were the side with momentum having won their final four games in Division 2, while Aodh Ruadh were coming into the game after three losses in-a-row and a new manager as Maurice McLaughlin replaced Conor Cunningham.
