Termon ladies are on the silverware trail again.
TERMON and St Eunan’s will meet in the 2013 Donegal Senior Ladies Football Championship final next Sunday after recording wins over Glenfin and Moville in today’s semi-finals.
Defending champions Termon are going for their third title in recent years having won the silverware in 2010 and 2012.
This afternoon, Geraldine McLaughlin was again to the fore for the all-conquering Burn Road brigade, who are the current Donegal and All-Ireland Gaeltacht champions.
Termon out-gunned their old rivals from Glenfin, 5-14 to 1-5 and McLaughlin was the chief tormentor. The Donegal ace scored a whopping 4-6 of her team’s tally and will take some stopping on this form.
Lucy O’Flynn netted the other goal for Termon, who also had good displays from Maureen O’Donnell, Olive McCafferty, Grainne McCafferty and Therese McCafferty.
Sub Ellen Muldoon netted Glenfin’s goal while Donegal midfielder Karen Guthrie added four points.
Standing in their way will be a St Eunan’s side that will contest their first final in eight years. Sadhbha Medlar and Danielle Foy netted the goals as they defeated Moville in Buncrana, St Eunan’s winning 2-7 to 1-7.
Gaoth Dobhair, meanwhile, won the Ladies Junior A title thanks to a 5-14 to 0-10 win over Naomh Conaill. Aisling Cassidy, Caroline Sharkey, Rachel McGee (2) and Aisling Gillespie scored their goals.
Elsewhwere, the draw for the Ladies Junior B semi-finals have been made. Buncrana take on Urris with Naomh Columba meeting Killybegs.
