Temperatures set to soar

IT’S time to dig out last year’s summer clothes, inflate the pool and get the factor 50 sun-cream on because this week is expected to be a real scorcher. Although there was much disappointment from missing out on the sunshine at the weekend, Met Éireann has confirmed this week’s weather will make up for it.

With good sunny spells expected throughout the week, we are set to see the start of the good weather today with temperatures reaching a high of 21 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain dry with temperatures ranging from 19 to 21 degrees. Looking ahead to the end of the week, a spokesperson for Met Éireann said Thursday and Friday will be even warmer.

“It will still be dry with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Temperatures at that stage might creep up to 22 or 23 degrees, maybe even 24 degrees. As regards to next weekend, it looks like it will remain dry through much of next weekend,” he said.
