Teenager James McCabe was the toast of Letterkenny Golf Club today.
The talented McCabe hit a remarkable albatross on the seventh hold at Barnhill.
Letterkenny Golf Club posted on social media saying: “You don’t see this every day. 15-year-old member James McCabe made an albatross 2 on the par five 7th hole at Letterkenny Golf Club this morning!
“A huge congratulations to James on this incredible achievement. With odds of around 1 in 6 million, an albatross is one of the rarest moments in golf, hundreds of times rarer than a hole-in-one.
“To do it at just 15 years old, and while playing off a superb 8 handicap, makes it even more impressive.
“Well done James, a truly special moment for you and for the club.”
