THE Tara Hotel in Killybegs has officially changed hands, marking the end of an era as John Paul and Breege McGuinness, the outgoing owners, bid farewell to their cherished establishment.
In a heartfelt social media announcement, they expressed gratitude for the community’s support over the past two decades and expressed their belief that it’s time for a new chapter to begin.
Stepping into this new chapter is Robert Lynch, the hotel’s new owner, who is enthusiastic about preserving its legacy. Lynch reassured patrons that the hotel will continue its operations seamlessly, providing accommodation to both locals and visitors. He also hinted at upcoming renovations and enhancements aimed at elevating the hotel’s standards.
In response, the McGuinness family conveyed their well wishes to Lynch and expressed a sense of pride and nostalgia as they handed over the reins.
They also reflected on the hotel’s significance, not just as a business venture, but as a tribute to their daughter Tara’s memory. Grateful for the decades of support from the community, they expressed confidence in Lynch’s stewardship of the hotel’s future.
