Tara Hotel chef scoops top award

TARA Hotel chef Paul Brady has scooped ‘Chef of the Year’ accolade.

The Donegal chef has spent more than half his life cooking in hotels and restaurants across Ireland and Europe. In kitchens since he was 14, Paul had already been cooking for several years before finishing school and studying at the Tourism College Killybegs.

Paul has worked in a number of 2AA Rosette restaurants in France, Germany and the United Kingdom while winning many awards and being nominated for best chef in Ulster and local food hero at the restaurant awards.

Paul heads up the kitchen team at the Tara Hotel in Killybegs, Slieve League Hospitality Group and is honoured to bring the tile ‘Chef Of The Year’ to Killybegs. He was bestowed the award at Highland Radio’s Hospitality Awards in Jackson’s Hotel, Ballybofey, at the weekend.

The hotel has almost completed its refurbishment and are in the process of opening the Atlantis Spa and a beautiful, appointed banquet suite.
