THE clubs and executive of the Ulster Senior League will vote on whether or not to retain summer football at the League’s Annual General Meeting which takes place this Monday night in the Mount Errigal Hotel.

Dispensation sought by USL in anticipation of earlier start


THE Ulster Senior League secretary, Mark Duffy, has written to the Football Association of Ireland to request a one-week dispensation to the start of a ‘summer season’ in 2014 in advance of the League’s AGM next month.

SUMMER football looks set to be retained by the Ulster Senior League next season after a proposal for a return to winter football was deferred by the executive at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the League at the Silver Tassie Hotel tonight.
