CONGRATULATIONS to all the members of the Swilly Sisters’ Shed in Rathmullan who participated in the certified First Aid training last Saturday which was fully funded by Donegal Volunteer Centre and SICAP.
The event was facilitated by Aiden Thompson of Donegal Safety Solutions and all participants were presented with their completion certificates on the day
Meanwhile an enthusiastic crowd turned out to hear Jennifer Alcorn, ANP Gynae Nurse who was a font of knowledge in relation to medical issues and dealt very capably with many inhouse questions.
Thanks are exented to Jennifer for covering these important topics so professionally, with the group’s members all acutely aware that many women today are still missing out on support for themselves.
Following on from this, the Swilly Sisters’ Shed will be hosting a Question and Answer session soon with a medical practitioner and for total confidentiality, questions can be submitted in advance to swillysistersshed@gmail.com
There will be no meeting on Monday, February 2 due to the bank holiday, so next up is a fun table quiz on Monday, February 9. Book club and scrabble meetings are ongoing.
