SWEENEY, P.J.

SWEENEY – The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of PJ Sweeney (Spricks), 48 McNeely Villas, Oldtown, Letterkenny. Born in College Row, he attended the local primary school, St. Eunan’s College and the old Technical School. He spent a good part of his working life in England, where he lived with his uncle Hughie Nee and cousins John and Ned.

Rest In Peace

Pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Anne, and sister Dymphna, he is survived by his daughter Joanne, son Paul and granddaughter Fauye (Wisbech, Cambridgeshire). Survived by his sisters Mary Hegarty and Geraldine McGlinchey, niece Leanne and nephew Bernard McGlinchey, grandnephew Brandon McGlinchey and Irahyenn.

Remains reposing at his late residence from 3 pm today, Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Thursday in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, with interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Due to HSE and Government guidelines, wake funeral and interment are private to family and close friends only with a maximum of fifty people permitted.
