GARDAI have asked the public to be aware of an 18-year-old man wanted in Britain on suspicion of raping a 13 year-old girl, theft and assault, who is believed to be in Ireland.
Ryan Humpage was reported to have been in Sligo in recent days.
He is described as dangerous and is wanted by police in Lancashire after he was charged with the rape.
Police say he breached his bail conditions.
The PSNI is also searching for Mr Humpage, who has friends in Belfast.
Gardai say he has reportedly been seen in counties Sligo and Kildare.
They say he may be using various other names, including Dylan Dunne, Ryan Willington, Ryan Williams and Karl Ward.
Mr Humpage’s case has appeared on the BBC’s Crimewatch programme.
