Suspected drugs haul found washed up in Donegal

GARDAÍ in Donegal are investigating a suspected drugs haul which was found washed up along the North Donegal Coastline. 

A number of packages, believed to contain a controlled drug, are believed to have been found washed up in the areas of Dunfanaghy and Fanad.

A full investigation has been launched.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí said, “An Garda Síochána are currently investigating the circumstances of the discovery of a number of packages along the North Donegal Coastline.

“The packages contain substance which is believed to be a controlled drug, subject to analysis and confirmation by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

“An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time.”
