Letterkenny General Hospital
A SUSPECTED burglar has been released from hospital after being badly injured during an altercation with a Letterkenny homeowner in the early hours of this morning.
He is to appear in court tomorrow (Tuesday).
It is alleged that the young man, who is well-known to gardai, was attempting to enter the house at Glencar at around 2 am where a local businessman lives.
However, an altercation ensued and the man was detained by the homeowner until gardai arrived.
He was subsequently transferred to Letterkenny General Hospital (LGH) where he was treated for a number of injuries.
He was only discharged from hospital this evening and is due to be charged with burglary at tomorrow’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
