Supporters asked to protect much-loved Donegal walkway

Registration of Friends of Burtonport Railway Walk is now open for 2025 at a cost of €12 per year.

All monies collected through the registration will be spent on the continuous maintenance of the popular walk.

A spokesperson for the group organisers said: “We are also pleased to announce that we have received €4,000 of a grant from the department for improving drainage, surfacing etc on our much used walk.

“Hopefully work will commence in the next couple of weeks.”
