Support people with dementia and join the Alzheimer’s Tea Day

THE Alzheimer Society of Ireland is holding its biggest annual Fundraiser this week.

The society is calling on the people of Donegal to support Tea Days in their local areas to help support the 1,900 people living with dementia in Donegal.

Tea Days in Donegal on Thursday, May 7 are in the following locations: Gweedore Day Centre, Meenaniller, Derrybeg, Letterkenny, Donegal Cooneys Home & Garden, Cooneys Home & Garden, Pearse Road, Letterkenny, Donegal

Services provided by the Co Donegal branch of ASI are a vital lifeline for people living with dementia.

All monies raised locally stay local and support Alzheimer services in Donegal which include day care, home care, support groups, social clubs and a dementia adviser.

Now in its 21st year, the fundraiser has seen thousands of people host tea parties in their homes, offices and schools raising vital funds for the ASI which provides essential support to the 48,000 people and 50,000 family carers living with dementia in this country.
