TOMORROW is a big day for thousands of students across the county who are waiting patiently on their Leaving Certificate results.
Swept up in a whirlwind of emotion, many will be elated while others may feel disappointed and before the dust has a chance to settle, the first round of CAO offers quickly rolls around on Wednesday, August 27.
For those who feel uncertain about their next steps to take, the Letterkenny Youth Information Centre (YIC) have announced a new campaign aimed at supporting young people receiving their results.
This initiative is designed for those who may lack clear career pathways, struggle to identify their skills or are unsure about how to pursue further education or employment.
“We know that receiving Leaving Cert results can be a mixed experience, especially for those without a clear plan,” said Katarzyna Kurzeja, Information Officer for Letterkenny YIC.
“Our goal is to be a vital resource, offering personalised support to help young people navigate this critical transition.
“We want them to know they
are not alone and that there
are many paths to a successful future that we can help them with at such an important time in their life.”
The YIC will providefree, confidential youth information servicesto help young people explore their options.
