Letterkenny man Barry Mackey represented Ireland at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden last week.
Mackey got a top 15 placing in the Men’s over 60s category of the 10k where he ran a time of 39 minutes and fifty seconds.
He also took part in the Half Marathon, and finished in the top 18 with a fine time of 1:30:20.

There were over 100 athletes in both races, and the LAC representative certainly held his own.
