Glenswilly 2-6 Four Masters 3-10
FOUR Masters were crowned Division 1 Minor Champions when they saw off Glenswilly in an exciting encounter at O’Donnell Park today.
Conor McCahill opened the scoring before Shane Tinney landed a goal for Glenswilly.
Conor Meehan struck four points on the trot for Four Masters, but Glenswilly then enjoyed a purple patch and reeled off five unanswered scores, with Daithi Gildea landing a brace.
Ruairi McLaughlin netted a super goal for Four Masters in the 27th minute, and the sides were level at 1-5 each at the break.
Four Masters came flying out of the blocks in the second half and Meehan pointed before Kevin Muldoon and McCahill registered goals.
Muldoon added another point before Donal Gallagher scored a penalty for Glenswilly in the 45th minute to reduce their deficit to five points.
Glenswilly did get back to within four, but the Donegal Town side finished strongly to complete a league and championship double.
