Come along to a Dawn Chorus with Swilly Sisters’ Shed

IF you would like a morning filled with music and fun, come along to Rathmullan Pier and Seafront this Saturday morning June 21.

This unique musical event will begin at 7am and an open invite has been extended to all ‘sisters’ who wish to come along.

This event will be an opportunity to celebrate the Summer Solstice, the official beginning of Summer.

This special early morning musical extravaganza promises to be a morning of festive song, light and fun.

The event will be run under the musical direction of renowned singer songwriter, Brid Carr. Come along and enjoy the ‘ceol agus craic’ with members of the Wild Atlantic Women group, Letterkenny Panto group, choirs and sisters as they offer a heart warming welcome to the summer, all with a maritime flavour.

Everyone, male and female, are invited to participate in an optional sea swim afterwards around 8am. There will also be a BBQ breakfast with Chef Artur Assis.

The group would like to extend thanks to Eunan Gormley, who is sponsoring the Breakfast sizzlers and to the Rathmullan Sailing Club for the use of their premises.

Whilst this is a free event, all donations on the day will be in aid of Lough Swilly Lifeboats. There will also be a bucket collection running all day on Saturday.

The organisers would like to remind people that rally road closures will not affect the Rathmullan area until after midday.
