A DONEGAL sub aqua club benefited from an unclaimed €810 handed in to Letterkenny Garda Station which was never claimed.
The money is to be paid to Sheephaven Sub Aqua Club at the suggestion of Sgt Jim Collins when the matter was raised at the District Court in Letterkenny on Tuesday under the Police Property Act.
With the money not having been claimed the sergeant suggested it be donated to the sub aqua club whose volunteers assist in searches for people missing at sea or in lakes and rivers.

Judge Éiteáin Cunningham agreed and ordered the money be donated to the club.
