The students were evacuated off the coach before the blaze spread, however, there were no reports of injuries.

The children, who were travelling from Creeslough to Loreto Convent and St Eunan’s College, were transferred to school on other buses a short-time later.

Gardai and the emergency services were at the scene to re-direct traffic. The road has since re-opened.
