Strong second half sees Donegal minors defeat Fermanagh

Donegal 2-9 Fermanagh 0-5

The Donegal minor footballers got their Ulster Minor League campaign off to a winning start against Fermanagh in MacCumhaill Park this evening.

Donegal never really got into their stride in the first half, and while Eoghan Gallagher, Max Campbell, and Conor McCahill were on the mark, the sides were all square at three points apiece at the break.

Barry Ward’s Donegal got a good start to the second half with Sean O’Carroll firing to the net.

Alex Cunnea came off the bench and lashed in a second goal.

Donegal left a number of chances behind them and goalkeeper Padraig McBride had to make two good saves.

However, they were deserving victors in the end and will look to build on this result going forward.
