StrawMan preparing to light up Lifford Old Courthouse

BALLYBOFEY singer Thomas Bonner is returning to Lifford Old Courthouse following a sell out gig there last year.

Thomas, who goes by the moniker StrawMan, will be centre stage with his four piece band this evening, Friday March 24.

StrawMan’s star has risen considerably in recent years to the point where he now has amassed 122,000 listens on the highly regarded platform Number One Music.

Songs like The Benefit of Hindsight, Cycle the Volcano, Wither and Drop Tools have put him firmly among the north west’s most sought after live acts.

Tomorrow night audience members can expect tracks from his previous album Fearless as well as from an upcoming collection due for release in the autumn.

Looking forward to getting back to Lifford Old Courthouse, the singer and songwriter said, “It’s such a beautiful venue, so historic and with a lovely acoustic about it.

“Last year was such a great gig for us. We had a three piece band then, this time there will be myself, Adrian Harkin, Kevin Halpin, Adam Hannigan and Sean Debney. There will be five of us on stage but we promise that it won’t be too loud.”

While it is still only March it is already shaping up to be a busy 2023 for StrawMan and his band. They have upcoming gigs in various venues around Letterkenny and Donegal before the festival circuit kicks into top gear.

“We are really looking forward to getting out and performing this summer. Last year was a great success but with a new band and new material I think this year is going to be something really special,” Thomas added.

Tickets to hear StrawMan, supported by The N15 Experience, are on sale now and can be bought by going to www.liffordoldcourthouse.com.
