THE annual Strabane Lifford Half Marathon will now go ahead, it has been confirmed.
Sources said earlier this week that the event was to be cancelled due to budgetary pressures.
But Sinn Féin MLA Michaela Boyle has just confirmed that the run will now go ahead.

“I am delighted to receive confirmation that the Strabane Lifford Half Marathon will go ahead in 2023 after I had raised concerns about this at Council last Friday,” Ms Boyle wrote.
“This is a landmark event in the sporting calendar every year which many people look forward to.”
