Storm Diana brings gale force winds

A STATUS yellow wind warning has been issued for Donegal as gale force winds are expected tomorrow.

The weather disruption is down to Storm Diana with south to southwest winds of 55 to 65 km/hr with gusts of between 90 to 110 km/hr.

The weather warning will come into force at 5am tomorrow morning and remain in place until 6pm tomorrow evening.

The south of the country is expected to be worst hit with an orange warning issued for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford, Galway and Clare with gusts of between 110 to 130 km/hr likely and a risk of coastal flooding.
