Donegal hurler Steven McBride believes hurling in the county is on the up as he hopes Donegal can get their third win in-a-row in the Nickey Rackard this Sunday.
Mickey McCann’s men travel to Hyde Park in Roscommon having defeated Fermanagh in O’Donnell Park before recording an away win over Armagh last weekend.
And McBride is hoping they can get the win over Roscommon, who defeated Louth over the weekend, in order to keep up the good run they are on.
A league final gave the Donegal men a lot of confidence going forward and they have brought that into the championship.
At just 21, McBride has praised some of the players around his age in helping the standard of the county team improve with increased competition in the squad.
“We’re having a good run of it,” McBride told the Donegal News.
“We had a good win against Armagh on Saturday and still there’s a lot of things to take from the game. But there are a lot of positives there as well.”
