THE legal team representing Sergee Kelly (23), charged with causing a fatal collision in Bundoran, resulting in the death of Tyrone schoolboy Ronan Wilson (9), has asked for immediate access to case statements.
Addressing Ballyshannon District Court this morning, Mr Kelly’s solicitor, Gerry McGovern, suggested the case could be elevated to the Circuit Court with a guilty plea if the statements are forthcoming.
“We need some statements. We need to see the bones of it,” he said.
Ronan Wilson, from Kildress in Co Tyrone, was killed on September 23 last, at Atlantic Way in Bundoran.
Garda Inspector Angela Cummins told the court that the “complex investigation” is ready for the State Solicitor.
Mr Kelly, Upper Mullaghmore, Co Sligo, was present in court for the brief hearing.
He is charged with dangerous driving causing the death of Ronan Wilson on September 23, 2023 at Atlantic Way, Bundoran.
