St Michael’s hold on to draw with Glenswilly

St Michael’s 1-4 Glenswilly 0-7

St Michael’s had to battle against Glenswilly and the wind in the second half but they held on to draw at The Bridge.

The hosts had the first half wind advantage and went into the break 1-4 to 0-1 ahead thanks to a Calvin Murray goal, but they posted 11 wides in the first half.

And the away side were also guilty of being wasteful but a couple of dead balls from Gary McFadden and Michael Murphy got them back into the game, with the latter’s mark levelling the game in added time.

St Michael’s had a few goal chances in the second half but rattled the crossbar twice, but a draw was probably a fair result.
