St Michael’s come good to defeat Killybegs

St Michael’s 1-12 Killybegs 2-5

St Michael’s got off to a perfect start with a four point win over Killybegs in blustery conditions at the Bridge.

A remarkable start saw the first two scores of the game find the net, firstly as Rory Colyer hit the net for the away side, but Carlos O’Reilly’s dipping effort dropped into the top corner at the other end a minute later.

Michael Langan kicked three scores for the hosts as they went into the break 1-5 to 1-3 ahead against the breeze.

Colin McFadden put his side three up but Paul Cunningham punched in after an Odhran McGuinness shot to level the game again.

But McFadden hit two more points as did Eddie O’Reilly, Andrew Kelly and Daniel McLaughlin as the home side powered to victory in the final 20 minutes.
