St. Michaels advance after dour encounter

Gaoth Dobhair 0-5 St Michael’s 0-6

THIS dour and disappointing round four tie at Magheragallon failed to live up to expectations and left the large crowd disappointed as they headed for home.

St. Michaels frustrated the Gaeltacht men from start to finish and while many will question their tactics of parking the bus in the opening half; at the finish they were marginally the better side.

The visitors played into a strong breeze in the opening thirty minutes and their swarmed defence mopped up attack after attack from Gaoth Dobhair.

The home side were also guilty of some wayward shooting and their tally of thirteen wides cost them dearly when the game was in the melting pot.
