St Eunan’s 1-13 Kilcar 1-11
ST EUNAN’S sealed their passage through to the 2022 Donegal SFC Final with an impressive win over Kilcar at MacCumhaill Park this evening.
Padraig McGettigan bagged an early goal for St Eunan’s and they dominated the bulk of the first half.
Patrick McBrearty landed four points by the 22nd minute for Kilcar but his side were still 1-5 to 0-5 down at that juncture.
Conor O’Donnell, Ciaran Moore, and Niall O’Donnell tagged on points for the Letterkenny men after that, but Jason Campbell fisted to the net late in the first half to keep Kilcar in the mix.
HT: St Eunan’s 1-8 Kilcar 1-5
The Towney men made a strong start to the second half and two points from Patrick McBrearty as well as a Ryan McHugh score had them level by the 41st minute.
St Eunan’s regained their composure after that and scores from Niall O’Donnell, Caolan Ward and Moore put them 1-12 to 1-9 ahead after 54 minutes.
Kilcar got their deficit back to two again but they couldn’t find a late goal, and it is the defending champions St Eunan’s, who will face Naomh Conaill in the County Final next Sunday.
