St Eunan’s 1-15 Gaoth Dobhair 0-11
St Eunan’s began their Division 1 campaign with a good comeback win against Gaoth Dobhair in O’Donnell Park on Saturday evening.
With the wind favouring the visitors in the first half, they led by 0-9 to 0-4 at the break thanks to a couple of two point frees from Ethan Harkin and one from play through Eamonn Collum.
But the breeze was strong and they only hit two points in the second half as St Eunan’s hit the next seven scores.
Fintan Doherty pulled off a brilliant double save to deny Fionnan Coyle and Fiachra Coyle, while Conor O’Donnell Jnr hit a goal on the 60th minute to bring his tally for the day to 1-4.
