THE draw for the Northern Board minor football championships was made on Tuesday at the monthly meeting in St Eunan’s GAA clubhouse.
Division 1 will have two groups of four teams. St Eunan’s and Gaoth Dobhair, two of the favourites for the honours, have been kept apart. These sides met in the League final, won by Gaoth Dobhair last month. St Eunan’s have been drawn alongside town rivals Letterkenny Gaels, as well as Inishowen sides Burt and Urris.
The top two teams from each group will contest the regional semi finals.
U18 Division 1 Championship:
Group 1 – St Eunans, Burt, Urris, Letterkenny Gaels
Group 2 – Gaoth Dobhair, Naomh Colmcille, Mulroy Gaels, Glenfin
Division 2 will have three groups of four teams and one group of three; 15 teams in all.
The top two teams from each group will contest the regional quarter finals. The remaining teams will contest the Division 2 Shield quarter finals.
U18 Division 2 Championship:
Group 1 – Glenswilly, Muff, Convoy, Lifford
Group 2 – Termon, Cloughaneely, Buncrana
Group 3 – Red Hughs, Milford, Eunans B, Malin
Group 4 – St Michaels, MacCumhaills, Carndonagh, Moville
Fixtures and dates for these games will be circulated to clubs in due course.
