ST EUNAN’S manager Rory Kavanagh says his team want to ‘create their own history’ when they face up to reigning champions Naomh Conaill in Sunday’s County Final.
Eunan’s are a decorated club and a victory would officially take them back level with Gaoth Dobhair at the top of the roll of honour with 15 triumphs, although many in the Letterkenny club do count the 1997 final victory which was subsequently taken off them.
The older Eunan’s players like Caolan Ward, Sean McVeigh, Conor Parke, Sean McVeigh, and Darragh Mulgrew have won medals in the past.
However, their youthful cohort are still waiting, and after picking up plenty of underage medals, they want to add a senior one to their collection.
