ST EUNAN’S will go in search of a place in the St Paul’s Ulster Minor Football Tournament when they take on Enniskillen Gales in Belfast tomorrow (Saturday).

The Letterkenny club are aiming to make it back to the final on New Year’s Day, after losing out in the decider to Crossmaglen Rangers two years ago.

They have encountered a much stiffer passage this year, but are buoyed by excellent victories over Burren (Down) and Clann Eireann (Armagh), and have their eyes set on a final spot.

“It seems like we have had a very tough journey already and we are still only at the semi-final stage,” said St Eunan’s joint-manager Brian McGeehin, who manages the team along with Paul McGovern.

“When you win two games in Ulster, you expect to be in the final, but we’re not.

“That’s the way the draw went and we have had two very tough games already.

“Enniskillen Gaels will be another stern test, and it’s all to play for once again.”
