A quirky music venue in Killybegs is preparing to host an exciting live event with performances from Duke Special and George Houston, this Friday, September 8.
The Music Loom is a stunning venue located in the old carpet factory in Killybegs, which is home to the largest hand-knotted loom in the world.
Amidst the historic old looms is a colourful arrangement of quirky seats and twinkly fairy lights – creating the most intimate and unique musical experience.
On the night piano-based songwriter Duke Special who hails from Belfast will perform with his warm, distinctly accented voice.
He has released 14 albums and EPs, toured all over the world and has been involved in a diverse array of other projects, including writing the music for Deborah Warner’s critically acclaimed 2009 production of Mother Courage and Her Children at London’s National Theatre.
Also on the bill is George Houston one of Donegal’s youngest and brightest rising stars. He recently performed as part of the Earagail Arts Festival and stunned audiences with his unique vocals and stunning harmonies.
Tickets for the intimate gig are limited and available to purchase on Eventbrite.com.
