A 29-years-old soldier facing explosives charges has been further remanded in custody.
At Letterkenny District Court on Monday, Private Mark Cassidy of Apartment 3 Grianan Vale, Ballyederowen, Burnfoot did not seek bail and his case has been adjourned until March 24.
Inspector Goretti Sheridan told the court they were still awaiting directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Cassidy faces two charges of possessing explosives at his same address on Monday February 19.
He is charged with having an explosive substance and possessing 87 twelve gauge shotgun cartridges.
Cassidy, wearing a green jumper, dark trousers and in handcuffs, said nothing during the brief appearance. He was represented in court by Mr Eugene Burns.
