COUNCILLORS from the Glenties Municipal District have visited the site of the new social housing development in Bunbeg, where phase one of 11 units at Radharc an Oileán is substantially complete and will be ready for allocation in the coming weeks.
This includes one four-bedroom unit, six three-bedroom units, and four two-bedroom units.

Cathaoirleach of the MD, Cllr Michael McClafferty, welcomed the development’s progress for the local community of Gaoth Dobhair.
He said it will also help to tackle the housing demand in the area.

More than 450 new social homes are currently under construction at a variety of locations around the county as Donegal County Council continues to drive a major building programme in a bid to reduce the number of people on housing waiting lists.
