Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for snow and ice.
The yellow warning for Donegal will be in place from 5am on Saturday morning until 10am.
A Met Éireann forecaster said: “Rain will turn to sleet or snow in places for a short time on Saturday morning, especially over higher ground.
“The rain, sleet and snow will be accompanied by strong and gusty southeast winds.”
Motorists are being warned of hazardous travelling conditions and poor visibility.
