A weather warning for snow and ice for Donegal has been issued by Met Eireann.
The yellow warning will be in place from 6pm on Monday to 11am on Tuesday morning.
The forecaster said: “Scattered wintry showers will give way to more widespread sleet or snow for a time overnight with the potential for small accumulations.”
Meanwhile an advisory warning for “Arctic air” has also been issued for the entire country and will remain in place until 12pm on Friday.
Met Eireann said the Arctic air will bring “winter hazards this coming week.”
“Sharp to severe frosts expected with icy stretches on roads and pavements. Some sleet or snow will occur at times too, mostly for northern areas, and especially for hills,” they added.
