SLIABH Liag Cliffs have been revealed as the most Instagrammed location in Donegal, according to new research.
The study, carried out by Virgin Media Ireland, analysed the number of tagged Instagram posts across the county’s most visited sights and attractions.
The analysis used the total number of posts to determine the destinations that are most popular with social-media-sharing visitors.
Sliabh Liag Cliffs claimed the number one spot with 47,324 tagged Instagram posts, securing its position as the county’s most photographed landmark.
The popular destination also performed strongly at national level, ranking 28th overall in the Top 50 Most Instagrammable Spots in Ireland.
Known for its rich history and stunning architecture, the attraction continues to draw visitors eager to capture the perfect photo.
Other spots analysed included Malin Head, with 38,867 posts, while Glenveagh National Park secured third place thanks to 16,448 posts.
Following that was Errigal Mountain and Fanad Head Lighthouse, both long-standing favourites with tourists and locals alike.
