DONEGAL singer Mickey Joe Harte has just unveiled the video for his latest single, For the Broken Hearted.
Hard to believe as it may seem, it is 14 years since Harte got the nation singing along to his Eurovision entry, We’ve Got the World Tonight.
He has rarely been out of the limelight since and his new offering could well be another big hit for the Lifford man.
The video for For the Broken Hearted was shot against the backdrop of Downings and the wider Mevagh area with Logue’s Bar in Carrigart the setting for the crowd scenes and singalong.
Harte pulled together several well known Donegal musicians for the recording, including multi-instrumentalist Sarah Cullen who herself hails from the village of Carrigart.
Also featured are Deirdre Cullen, Lisa McBrearty and Kevin Deal.
Releasing the video, Harte paid tribute to the management and staff of Logue’s Bar and to Ruairi Friel and the Songs and Stories audience, including his fans and friends.
The single is now on pre-order on iTunes and is officially released on October 5.
