GLENCAR Celtic had a slow start to the season, but manager Eddie McLaughlin still has his sights set on bringing home silverware for the club.
Oldtown Celtic only dropped 12 points last year, with eight of those dropped points coming in the first four games.
But they’ve continued their form from last year with a 100% record after seven games and look like they will be hard to stop on their three-in-a-row bid.
McLaughlin admits that the 12 point deficit may already be too far for Glencar to recover, but he is still targeting a high finish, while the cup competitions will offer them another route to silverware.
“We’re twelve points behind in the league so the Ulster Shield and the Voodoo Cup are our main thing this year and we’ll try push on next year, it’s like a rebuild this year.
