DETAILS of the annual Breast Cancer Ball which will be held at the Silver Tassie Hotel in Letterkenny in December have been announced.
The prestigious and much-anticipated event, aimed at raising funds for the North West Breast Cancer Centre, promises an unforgettable evening, filled with community spirit, delicious food, music and lively dancing. It takes place on Friday, December 6.
The evening will be compered by popular Donegal entertainer Noel Cunningham, beginning at 7:15pm with a drinks reception, followed by dinner, a raffle and auction all accompanied with music by popular Donegal crooners The Beefsteak Dancers.
Among the fun and frivolity promised by the evening, it must not be forgotten that the event holds a serious message, with Dr Sinead Handley appearing as a special medical guest.
Dr Handley will regale audiences with her own breast cancer journey and what it’s like when the doctor becomes the patient.
She will also share her expertise and insight into the advances in breast cancer research and treatment, offering a unique opportunity to hear from a leading figure of the medical community.
The night will also provide an opportunity to connect with others passionate about making a difference in the fight against breast cancer, espousing the message that ‘it’s more than just a night out – it’s a chance to give back to a cause which has touched so many lives.’
Tickets for the December 6 event go on sale tomorrow (Friday), priced at €60, and can be purchased at The Silver Tassie by calling in or phoning 074 91 25619, with the hotel once more offering their incredible bed and breakfast overnight of €65 per person.
All proceeds go directly to supporting the vital services of the North West Breast Cancer Centre.
