Sheridan steps down as Rathmullan Celtic boss

Rathmullan Celtic FC have confirmed that Eamonn Sheridan has stepped down from his post as manager of the club.
A club statement on Rathmullan’s Facebook page read:
“Sheridan served a near four-year term in the dugout, taking over post-Covid in 2020 and steering the club back through the return to football protocols.
“In his second full season in charge, the team were engaged at the top end of the table for much of the journey and had a fine run to the Area Final of the Brian McCormick Cup, losing agonisingly to Letterkenny Rovers in a pulsating clash at our own Flagpole Field on an emotional afternoon for many in attendance.
“Last time around, the Hoops once more enjoyed some strong results en route to finishing mid-table in the Donegal League Premier Division.
“Throughout his time as manager, Eamonn put his heart and soul into the club, his commitment to the cause unquestionable. After a decorated playing career that took him on many adventures, he had of course finished off his time as a player here at the Flagpole Field during a spell of unprecedented success for the club from 2011-2014.
“Eamonn’s management team of Paul Friel and Patrick Patton have also stepped away from their roles at this time. Both Frielly and Burger were instrumental during Eamonn’s tenure, bringing the expertise and professionalism that many would have anticipated following their own respective playing careers.
“Everyone associated with RCFC would like to thank these three gents for their contribution.
“With our Brian McCormick Cup opener against Milford upcoming on Sunday 1st September, the committee has started the process of finding a replacement management team.”
