EAMONN Sheridan will be back in charge of the Donegal Junior League side in the Oscar Traynor Inter-League Cup this season.
Sheridan, who managed his native Rathmullan Celtic for four seasons, took the reins of the representative side for the first time last term.
He led the Donegal League side to a memorable shoot-out victory over neighbours Inishowen.
However, they were disappointed to bow out at the quarter-final stage
when defeated 4-2 by the Mayo
League at Swilly Park back in February.
Sheridan had assembled a strong squad with good buy-in from the top clubs in the league and it is hoped that he will be able to replicate that once again.
Donegal have had a decent record in the competition in recent years and reached the semi-finals in 2024
when John Francis Doogan was in charge.
There is the same format for Sheridan’s men this term as there are just two leagues in the Ulster
region.
They will take on the Inishowen Football League over two legs, with the first match at the Diamond Park in Ballyare on November 23 at 2pm.
The second leg will be played in Maginn Park on December 14 with the time to be confirmed.
