Country music star Shawn Cuddy has been presented with a prestigious ‘Civil Honour’ certificate at a reception in the chamber of Donegal County Council.
Organised by members of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District, the reception on Tuesday was held in recognition of Shawn’s tremendous act of kindness, through his entertaining performances, to those residing in Donegal care homes during Covid.
Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr Martin Harley, praised the work carried out by Shawn in the Sean O’Hare Unit in Stranorlar and the pleasure this gave to residents.

A video message from Daniel O’Donnell was played at the event and included his apologies for not being able to attend the celebration in person.
