A Letterkenny golfer made light of the stormy conditions to deliver a fabulous hole-in-one at Barnhill on Saturday.
Storm Kathleen did her best to spoil the playing conditions for golfers all across the North West – but she failed to upset Shane Scanlan’s round at Letterkenny Golf Club.
Playing in Saturday’s competition, Shane recorded a brilliant ace at the tricky par 3 5th hole.
And the three-handicapper carded an impressive 36 points in trying conditions to win Saturday’s competition.
Not surprisingly, many golfers chose to stay indoors on Saturday because of the storm-force winds.
Dunfanaghy Golf Club cancelled the McGinley Motors Senior and Intermediate Scratch Cups on Saturday and rescheduled the competition to Saturday, September 7.
